The Panga  actress has alleged that Yash Raj Films’ head honcho Aditya Chopra had threatened to ruin her career after she had turned down the Salman Khan-starrer Sultan

Two days after Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh ruled out a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) probe into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, firebrand actress Kangana Ranaut has expressed concerns over the probe and made some sensational allegations against Yash Raj Films head honcho Aditya Chopra. Ranaut disclosed the same in an interview to Arnab Goswami, Managing Director, Editor-in-chief, Co-founder and owner of Republic TV.
Ranaut has alleged that director Ali Abbas Zafar had offered her Sultan  but she had turned it down politely. Ranaut claimed she personally apologised to producer Aditya Chopra who seemed fine then, but later, allegedly sent her threatening messages.
“The director came to my house and narrated the script. I had a meeting with Aditya Chopra. Just so that I could express my apologies in person and he was fine at the time. But later a news piece came out saying ‘Kangana said No to Sultan’. And then he messaged me, ‘How dare you? You say No to me’. And then he told me, ‘You are finished,” alleged Kangana.
Efforts to contact Aditya Chopra didn’t yield any response. When contacted, Ali Abbas Zafar’s manager claimed that the director is out of town. YRF eventually with Anushka Sharma to partner Salman Khan in the film.
Ranaut has also expressed surprise over how the Mumbai police hasn;t questioned the likes of Chopra, Karan Johar, film critic Rajeev Masand, and Mahesh Bhatt yet.
“I am not saying that anyone wanted Sushant to die, but definitely [they wanted him to be] doomed. These people are emotional vultures. They want to see people lynch themselves. To date, Mahesh Bhatt is selling Parveen Babi’s illness in so many versions through his films. Why is Mumbai Police not summoning Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Rajeev Masand’ These four people. Why, because they are powerful,” said Ranaut.

Ranaut revealed that she, too, was called for questioning by Mumbai police but she couldn’t attend as she is in Manali. In another outburst, Ranaut has threatened to return her Padma Shri award if she couldn’t back her claims.
“They (Mumbai Police) summoned me, and I asked them too, that I’m in Manali, that you can send somebody to take my statement, but I have not received anything after that. I am telling you, if I have said anything, which I can’t testify, which I can’t prove, and which is not in public domain, I will return my Padma Shri,” the Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi  actress thundered.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra, Mumbai apartment on 14 June.
