Start of a new week, and it is Kangana again who is making headlines. The Panga actor seems determined to gets justice for Sushant Singh Rajput and take down the ‘Bollywood mafia’ that breeds nepotism. From taking on legacy studios, Kangana Ranaut, rather her digital team has raised question over Mumbai police. Team Kangana has expressed surprise that the Mumbai police is likely to summon Karan Johar’s manager but not him yet..
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had informed a news agency that filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar’s manager will be questioned soon.
“Tomorrow Mahesh Bhatt will be called for questioning and we will later call Karan Johar’s manager too. If required, Karan Johar can also be called for questioning in Sushant Singh Rajput case,” Deshmukh told ANI.
Kangana’s digital team later commented on this, questioning Mumbai police and didn’t refrain from calling Karan Johar as the best friend of Aditya Thackeray, the son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
“So Karan Johar’s manager is summoned but not @AUThackeray’s best friend @karanjohaRr!! @MumbaiPolice stop making a joke out of SSR murder investigations,” team Kangana Ranaut tweeted.
Team Ranaut even wondered whether any nepotism is being observed by the Mumbai police in issuing summons.
“How can @MumbaiPolice display blatantly shameless nepotism even in issuing summons? Kangana has been issued summon not her manager but Chief Minister’s son’s best friend’s manager is called for questioning, why? saheb ko pareshani na ho issliye?,” added Kangana’s team.
Post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death by suicide on 14 June, the likes of Ranaut have opined that perhaps it is nepotism to blame for the Dil Bechara actor’s death. It’s been rumoured that Rajput had a fallout with Johar after the producer chose to release their film Drive directly on Netflix. Speaking to Republic TV earlier, Ranaut had questioned as to how a top producer like Johar couldn’t get a distributor for Drive .
With Johar’s manager being summoned, perhaps it won’t be long before the Dharma Productions boss is called in by the Mumbai police. Ranaut has vowed to return her Padma Shri if she is not able to prove her allegations.
