Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation has changed its course: from nepotism debates to alleged harassment following Rajput’s father K.K Singh’s FIR which was filed against the actor’s girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty,in Patna on 25 July. In a recent development, Rajput’s former girlfriend and actor Ankita Lokhande has reportedly shared with the Bihar Police, proofs of conversations wherein the late actor has allegedly stated that he was unhappy and wanted to end the relationship with Chakraborty.
Amidst this uproar, maiden producer Vijay Shekhar Gupta, who is to bankroll a film, ‘inspired by’ (as Gupta likes to call it) the life and death of the late actor. Gupta is confident that the outcome of the investigation would come after the release of his film.
On being contacted, Gupta stated that with the filing of the FIR, the investigation is on the correct track. “The FIR which was filed two days ago should have been filed a month back when the initial investigation took place”, said the producer.
When asked if he would like to bring any changes in his planned script, given the recent developments, he expressed no doubt on his script. He claims that in his 30 years of experience in the industry, he has worked with so many people that he has an understanding of how matters like these turn out in the end. Gupta mentioned, “I have already added all the details in my script. The changes that are taking place now and the ones that would be taking place in the future are already reflecting in my script. No further changes are required.”
He further divulged that he has revealed his entire script to a media house. “I have already shared the names of those which are going to pop-up later in the investigation and the ones who are about to get arrested.”
With utmost confidence, Gupta believes that his film would bring forth the outcome of the inquiry much ahead of the investigation’s end result. “My film would reflect the actual result of the inquiry long before this investigation would come to an end because it is going to be released on 25 December, 2020”, asserted the producer.
The film is titled ‘Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost’, and stars Rajput’s lookalike and Tik Tok sensation, Sachin Tiwari. A poster of the same was released a few days ago and has since then sparked several discussions. Gupta had earlier stated in an interview that the film is not entirely based on the late actor, rather reflects the struggles of several ‘outsiders’.
