The events unfolding in the parallel investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is turning into a ‘Bihar police versus Mumbai police’ game. The actions of the Mumbai police in allegedly trying to thwart efforts by the Special Investigating Team of Bihar police is increasingly raising serious questions over the Mumbai police and the Shiva Sena-NCP-Congress coalition government in Maharashtra. In a stunning move, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has sent Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari to quarantine. Tiwari is to lead the probe by Bihar police into the actor’s death.
Gupteshwar Pandey, Director General of Police, Bihar disclosed about the same on his Twitter handle and expressed shock as to how a government official had to look for his own quarantine facility.
“IPS officer Binay (Vinay) Tiwari reached Mumbai today from patna on official duty to lead the police team there but he has been forcibly quarantined by BMC officials at 11pm today. He was not provided accommodation in the IPSMess despite request and was staying in a guest house in Goregaw
The move by BMC to quarantine Tiwari has left Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti shocked too.
“What? Is this even for real? How can an officer sent on duty be quarantined for 14 Days?,” questioned Kirti.
It didn’t take long for netizens to question this move by the BMC. Seasoned actor, TV personality Shekhar Suman questioned how the Bihar police officers, who came last week were not quarantined but Tiwari was sent to quarantine late last night.
“SushantMysteryDeepens Look at the desperation of these ppl n their obvious attempt to thwart the enquiry (inquiry) by the Bihar Police. The IPS officer Vinay Tiwari has been quarantined. Why didn’t you do the same with the four officers who came earlier?Shame on you,” tweeted Suman.
Team Kangana Ranaut, too, slammed BMC’s action and also Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
“This man is not allowed in IPS mess and forcefully quarantined, because Mumbai has Pappu Raj right now, only nepo mafia can treat people like this, shame on @CMOMaharashtra,” tweeted Ranaut.
