In the last two days, a few media houses have made some sensational claims pertaining to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager Disha Salian. One of them even suggested that Salian was perhaps raped and murdered.
Just when one thought that there is more to the Salian case than it meets the eye, Satish Salian, the victim’s father has sent a letter to ACP Dilip Yadav, Malwani division accusing the concerned media, and ‘media people’ of mental harassment.
It’s been speculated that a politician or a politician’s son is involved in the deaths of Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput. However, Disha’s father Satish Salian has ruled out any political hand in her daughter’s death and expressed full confidence in the probe being conducted by the Malwani aka Malvani police.
“News about her involvement with any politician or attending parties with big names of film fraternity, rape, murder are all the stories cooked by these media people just to sell it to channels. These stories hold no truth. These are misleading the people and tarnishing my daughter’s reputation and family reputation. These fake news are taking a huge toll on my family’s health and we are being victimized by the media. We are completely satisfied with the investigation being conducted by the Mumbai police and have faith in them,” Satish Salian wrote in his letter.
Satish Salian has called for action to be taken against the media houses that are writing sensational, fabricated stories. And he also wants stern action to be taken against politicians and [social media] influenzers, who are painting a wrong picture of his daughter’s death.

On 4 August, Republic TV had aired an audio conversation between their associate editor and an unnamed friend of Sushant Singh Rajput. The unnamed friend had claimed that Rajput was upset at what had happened to Salian and he wanted to help her.
Meanwhile former Shiv Sena, Congress and now Bharatiya Janata Party member Narayan Rane had claimed that Salian was perhaps raped and murdered.
Salian had died on the night of 8 June after reportedly falling off the high rise apartment of her boyfriend Rohan Rai. Thus far, the police is treating it as a case of accidental death. Earlier today, the Mumbai police had urged any informer to help the police in the investigation into Salian’s death.
