The Sushant Singh Rajput case has got mired into a political slugfest, with some members from opposition parties making some strong claims into the death of Rajput and his so-called former manager Disha Salian. The ruling Shiv Sena-led coalition government in Maharasthra has earlier termed the accusation as political agenda by the opposition – Bharatiya Janata Party. Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has made some sensational claims. According to Raut, the late Rajput didn’t share good relations with his father K.K. Singh.

He was asked about the same by a few TV journalists, to which Raut replied, “I have received such information. How many times did Rajput visit his father in Patna [in the last few years]?,” The Shiv Sena MP also assured all that the Mumbai police will get to the bottom of the investigation and will not spare anyone found guilty.

Raut’s comments drew criticism from BJP MLA and Sushant Singh Rajput’s cousin brother Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu. “This is a highly condemnable comment from an MP. How can you make a such a comment in such a sensitive case without knowing the facts. If need be, I will file a defamation case [against Raut], Bablu told reporters in Patna.

With Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family facing serious allegation of fraud and abetting Rajput’s suicide, the gloves are now off with Rhea and her legal team claiming discord between Rajput and his family. There were reports wherein Chakraborty leaked text conversations wherein Rajput referred to his sister Priyanka Singh as evil. Chakraborty had claimed that Priyanka had tried to molest her. The Jalebi [2018] actor’s claims were countered by the Rajput family lawyer Vikas Singh, who claimed that this was a ploy by Chakraborty to create rift between Rajput and his family.
