The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has turned into a battle between the Rajput family and prime accused Rhea Chakraborty. Meanwhile, there is a battle brewing between the makers of Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Born and Shashank. Both films are loosely based on the death of Rajput. Shashank producer Marut Singh and director Sanoj Mishra have sent a legal notice to actor Sachin Tiwari alleging that he had signed for them but then backed out and spilled their story to Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost producer Vijay Shekhar Gupta.

Speaking to Beyond Bollywood, Tiwari has denied all allegations. (Shashank has Aarya Babbar playing the lead)

“I knew nothing about the film [Shashank], not even its name. I was unaware during that time and they took advantage of it and tricked me,” alleged Tiwari. The boy from Bareilly is a Tik Tok star and has a slight resemblance to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Tiwari claimed that he was called for an audition, but he wasn’t told anything about the film.

“I used to make TikTok videos then and after watching the videos they immediately called me for a meeting. After that they conned me into signing an agreement. They called for a rehearsal and I was forced to stay for 3-4 days there. The transportation had come to a halt because of the Coronavirus pandemic and I couldn’t go home. Somehow I arranged a cab and went to my sister’s place.” moaned Tiwari.

Upon being asked if he had shared details of the film [Shashank] with Vijay Shekhar Gupta, Tiwari replied, “I knew absolutely nothing about the film. When I went for the said audition, only 2-3 men were present there. There was no writer or any other person connected to the film.”

Defending his lead actor, Vijay Shekhar Gupta said, ““They (Marut Singh and Sanoj Mishra) conned him in the name of audition. The agreement which Sanoj Mishra sent him didn’t have anything mentioned- date, title, amount. Only the signatures of Sachin Tiwari are there”.

Tiwari has responded to the legal notice sent by Sanoj Mishra and Marut Singh through his advocate Akhilesh Mishra. The Lucknow advocate claimed that his client was called by one Ashu Gupta on 3 July for an audition to be held in Ansal City Celebrity Green, Lucknow on the following day. Tiwari has alleged that Sanoj Mishra and Marut Singh took his signature on a blank 100 rupee stamp paper, claiming it was an audition requirement. Tiwari has also denied receiving any payment from Shashank’s makers. In his reply, Tiwari has admitted to giving an audition but strangely he didn’t reveal the nature of the audition, the story idea or the scene that he was asked to enact.

Meanwhile, Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti wants Shashank to be boycotted. She also slammed trade analyst Komal Nahta for promoting the film.

“Boycott the film and the one who is promoting it!! #BoycottAltairMedia,” Kirti wrote on Twitter.
