The IFTDA [Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association] had banned director Sajid Khan last year, after they receive various complaints of alleged sexual harassment against the director. Khan’s one-year ban is set to end on 26 September. However, a few weeks before it, a fresh sexual harassment allegation has emerged against the controversial director.

Model Dimple Paula took to her Instagram account to narrate about an alleged sexual harassment at the hands of Khan when she was 17 years old.

When #MeToo movement started, a lot of people spoke about Sajid Khan but I did not dare to because like every other actor who has no godfather and had to earn for a family I kept quiet. Now I don’t have my parents with me. I’m earning for myself. I can dare to tell that I have been harassed by Sajid Khan at the age of 17,” wrote Paul.

“According to Paul, Khan had asked her to come for an audition when he allegedly misbehaved with her.

“He spoke dirty to me. He tried to touch me. He even told me to strip in front of him. Just to get a role in his upcoming Housefull movie,’ added Paul. The model, actor didn’t specifiy the year of assault.

As soon as Paul’s allegation surfaced, the #ArrestSajidKhan began to trend. Efforts to reach out to Khan yielded no response. Khan was suspended by IFTDA for multiple sexual harassment complaints against the director. After the allegations surfaced, Khan was dropped as director from Housefull 4 [2019].
