Co-producer Priti Sinha has acquired the rights from the Ramsay family

A biopic on the Ramsay brother, pioneer of horror genre in India, is on the cards. Super star Ajay Devgn has joined hands with co-producer Priti Sinha to tell the story of India’s flagbearer of horror.
Talking about the project, Priti Sinha said in a statement, “The late Shri Tulsi Ramsay and Shyam Ramsay along with every member of the Ramsay family instilled their faith in us by giving us their biopic rights. Ajay and I are honoured and excited to depict the fascinating journey of passion, hardships and immense success of three Generations of the Ramsay family who successfully set up the horror empire in India.”
The Ramsay Brothers have given the Indian Film Industry popular horror flicks like Purana Mandir (1984), Veerana (1988), Purani Haveli (1989).
F.U Ramsay, a business from Karachi had moved to India after partition. He would later produce films. The legacy was then carried by his seven sons, all of whom tapped into the horror. The Ramsay brothers consist of Kumar, Keshu, Tulsi, Karan / Kiran, Shyam, Gangu and Arjun Ramsay.
