In a relief to actor Arbaaz Khan, the Bombay City Civil Court passed an order directing Advocate Vibhor Anand , Sakshi Bhandari to refrain from posting any defamatory content on social media against the actor, producer. Khan also filed a defamation suit against Anand, Bhandari and a few unknown people in the Bombay High Court on 28 September.

Delhi-based Advocate Vibhor Anand has been making some sensational claims in the Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian cases through his social media platforms. The most stunning of all is the homicide claim in the Rajput death case, wherein Anand has directly linked Khan to the alleged homicide angle.

Khan had moved the City Civil Court seeking relief against such baseless, unsubstantiated social media claims. Khan’s counsel Pradeep Gandhy has stated that defendant no 2 [Vibhor Anand] was causing great damage to the reputation and goodwill of the actor, producer with his defamatory social media posts. Gandhy pointed how despite his primary Twitter account being suspended, Anand had continued to posts defamatory posts through a secondary account, social media videos.

Hearing into the matter, Justice VV Vidwans has directed defendants no 1, 2 and 3 to refrain from posting, reposting, retweeting, sharing, sending messages and facs on social media platforms and including, the platforms’ run and operated by defendants no4 to 11, until further orders.

The matter has currently been adjourned and it will up for hearing on 12 October.
