The Bombay High Court has stayed any demolition activity by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation of actor Kangana Ranaut’s official property – Manikarnika Films. Earlier today, before the court could hear into the matter the Shiv Sena-led BMC went ahead with its move to raze down portions of Ranaut’s office located in Pali Hill, Bandra.

The Court has ordered the BMC to stop the demolition and asked it to file its reply in response to Ranaut’s plea filed against the BMC’s move. The BMC is given a day’s time to file its response. The matter will come up for a virtual hearing tomorrow at 3.00 pm.

As her office was being razed, Ranaut has condemned the BMC and Maharasthra government over their high handed move.

“There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bullywood watch now this is what Fascism looks like Slightly smiling face#DeathOfDemocracy #KanganaRanaut,” tweeted Ranaut.
