No suicide note found yet, but a CINTAA member tells us that the actor was under depression and had been receiving treatment for a few months

In a real shocking news, actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide by hanging himself in his Bandra apartment. He was 34. It is too early to comment on what drove the actor to take his life.
Requesting anonymity, a Cine and TV Artists’ Association member said, “Yes, the news is sadly true. Apparently, he was under medication and seeking treatment for depression since the last four months.”
There was no suicide note found at his residence.
“Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating.
Police has not found any note yet, ” DCP Pranay Ashok, spokesperson Mumbai Police is said to have said in his statement. As we write, the actor’s body was being taken away to Bhabha Hospital for post mortem.
Rajput had lost his mother in 2002. Incidentally, the actor’s last post on Instagram was about remembering his mother.
“Blurred past evaporating from teardrops. Unending dreams carving an arc of smile. And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two…Mother”. posted Rajput.
The actor’s death comes five days after his former manager Disha Salian had committed suicide.
Rajput had rose to prominence as a television superstar in the popular TV show Pavitra Rishta [2009-2011]. Rajput had made his film debut with Kai Po Che [2013]. The actor had enjoyed success with films like MS Dhon: The Untold Story [2016] and Chhichhore [2019]. His last film to release [On Netflix] was the long due action film Drive [2019].
