A day after BMC [Brihamumbai Municipal Corporation] officials landed at actor Kangana Ranaut’s production house [Manikarnika Films] office in Bandra, allegedly threatening demolition, it has emerged that the civic body has sent her notice to stop work over alleged unauthorized construction within the premise. The particular property -Bungalow No.5 , Chetak Row House – located at 41, Nargis Dutt road, Pali Hill, Bandra West.

Ranaut tweeted the copy of the notice and claimed that because of the social media criticism, the BMC has withdrawn its alleged demolition threat.

“Because of the criticism that @mybmc received from my friends on social media, they didn’t come with a bulldozer today instead stuck a notice to stop leakage work that is going on in the office, friends I may have risked a lot but I find immense love and support from you all,” Ranaut wrote on Twitter.

If one looks at the notice, it alleges a series of unauthorized construction within the said premise. In the second page, the BMC has asked Ranaut to stop all construction work or risk the property being pulled down.

The BMC has copped criticism for sending such a notice, which comes in the wake of the actress’ row with Shiv Sena – one of the ruling coalition parties in the state. Ranaut’s controversial Tweet condemning the Mumbai police drew sharp reaction from Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. The MP had used unsavory words to slam Ranaut. Raut has since admitted that may be his choice of words could have been better.
