While Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde claims that it was Sushant who asked the actress to leave, Vikas Singh, the actor’s family lawyer has a different picture to paint

Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has claimed that it was Sushant Singh Rajput who had asked Rhea to leave his home on the night of 8 June, 2020. He went on to claim that the ‘Jalebi’ (2018) actress left Rajput’s residence at his request, as he wanted his family members to come and stay with him.
“Sushant had been calling his family, informing them of his decision to move out of Mumbai and requesting them to come to meet him. After several days of Sushant calling and crying over the phone, his sister Mitu agreed to come live with him on June 8, 2020. Due to this development, Sushant requested Rhea to live with her parents for the time being,” Maneshinde told India Today in an e-mail interview.
He further went on to shed light on Chakraborty’s state of mental health during that particular time, stating, “Rhea had been suffering from her own anxiety issues and panic attacks. Sushant’s conduct aggravated these conditions. Even though Rhea wanted to see her family, she was not at all comfortable leaving Sushant.” Maneshinde also asserted that Sushant’s family was not on good terms with the actor’s girlfriend after Rajput’s sister Priyanka tried to grope Rhea under the influence of alcohol. Satish also claims that Rajput had confronted his sister over the incident.
Contradictory to these claims made by Maneshinde, K. K Singh’s, Vikas Singh told India Today, “Sushant’s sister had to go and stay with him because Rhea had left. She should explain why she blocked Sushant’s phone number if she had gone at Sushant’s behest.” Vikas Singh further went on to call the incident ‘a mind game played by Rhea’, while also accepting that the ties between Sushant and Priyanka were strained. “He realised his mistake that in a short span of few days Rhea had played a mind game to separate two siblings who were inseparable and happened to be each other’s strongest emotional support,” claimed Vikas Singh.
Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on the 14 June. The actor’s father K.K Singh had filed a FIR against the actor’s girlfriend and film actress Rhea Chakraborty for driving his son to suicide. The case is now being handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) post the apex court’s judgment on 19 August.
